MONTCLAIR, N.J. - The Manhattan College Men's Soccer team recently travelled to Montclair, N.J. to volunteer their time and help raise money for a local youth soccer team. The SDFC Gauchos compete in the US youth soccer national league and plays at one of the highest levels of the game for U16 boys soccer in the country. The money raised helps the team finance the trips, pay for scholarships for some of the players and allows them to function annually.
The Jaspers and their coaching staff were responsible for coaching children aged 3-16 years in 2 hour clinic that incorporated all elements of soccer while have fun at the same time. Their energy and enthusiasm resulted in nothing but smiles and laughter from the kids as they learned from a team that made the 2011 MAAC conference finals.
