Marmbrandt Again Breaks School Long Jump Record

New York, N.Y. -- Manhattan College's Malin Marmbrandt again set a new school record in the long jump Saturday at the New York Qualifying Challenge Meet held at Icahn Stadium.  During her series of jumps at the meet, she posted three jumps that exceeded her previous school record of 6.02 meters, with her best jump of 6.30m being an NCAA Regional and ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship qualifying distance.  It was also her personal best.

Also at the meet, Manhattan's Maria Jangsten took second in the women's 800 meter run in 2:14.08. Milos Vuckovic ran a 1:53.19 to finish fifth in the men's 800m, with teammate Kevin D'Emic posting a 1:54.79 to finish seventh in the race.  And Siri Fagerlund ran a 14.55s in the 100 hurdle prelims and 15.19 (to finish sixth) in the final.
