MEN'S SOCCER ADDS ONE MORE FOR 2007 SEASON

Riverdale, N.Y. (April 10, 2007)- Manhattan College men's soccer head coach Michael Swanwick has announced  the commitment of  one more player who will join the Jaspers' soccer program in the Fall of 2007.  The new commitment are in addition to eight recruits announced earlier in the spring.

 

Announcing they he will be coming to Manhattan College is goalkeeper Joseph Lorenz (Queens, N.Y./Holy Cross HS).

 

Lorenz is a 6-1 goalkeeper who plays club soccer for the Kosmos Supersonics, one of the top teams in the state and in the region in their age group.  Lorenz led his team to the 2005 Tampa Sun Bowl Championship and was named the tournament MVP. 

 

The additional newcomer will be joined by eight more 2007 signees; Thomas Bandov (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y/Dobbs Ferry HS), Randall Brobson (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury HS), Matthew Gormley (Wyckoff, N.J./Bergen Catholic), Thomas McCormick (Sparta, N.J./Sparta), Jake Ostrov (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs), Josh Renner (East Fishkill, N.Y./John Hay-East Fishkill), and Sean Russell (Bardonia, N.Y./Albertus Magnus).  The incoming class will also include Fernando Londono (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle/NJIT), a transfer from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
