Donnette Reed (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) has been named MAAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced today by the MAAC Conference Office. This is the first time Reed has earned Player of the Week honors.
A three-time MAAC Rookie of the Week winner during her freshman year, Reed scored 25 points and hit two free throws with 9.2 seconds left to help seal Manhattan's 64-60 win at Fordham last Friday in the season opener. Reed also grabbed six rebounds and had three steals, while handing out seven assists with only two turnovers.
The Lady Jaspers return to action on Wednesday, November 24, when they will travel to upstate New York to take on Syracuse. Game time is 12 noon.
