BROOKLYN, NY (September 28, 2002) - Junior
Sal Candela went 3-3 and drove in three runs to lead the Manhattan College baseball team to a 5-4 victory over St. Francis College at the Second Annual Battle of the Boros at Keyspan Park.
Sophomore
Gary Diaz also drove in two runs with a bases-loaded double. Senior Ryan Darcy picked up the victory for the Jaspers and freshman
Chris Cody recorded the save.
Manhattan is scheduled to play Long Island University at 6:00 PM on Sunday. With a victory over the Blackbirds, the Jaspers will earn a trip to the Championship game, slated for Monday, September 30 at 3:00 PM.
