DURHAM, NC (OCTOBER 9, 2002) - The Manhattan College men's soccer team lost its second consecutive game, after dropping a 4-1 decision to Duke on Wednesday night.
The Jaspers (2-7-0) were unable to break through against the #23 ranked Blue Devils. Duke (7-3-1) opened the scoring at 34:04 when Jordan Cila scored off a corner kick from Trevor Perea. The Blue Devils added two more first half goals. Owoicho Adogwa scored at 39:24 and Donald McIntosh scored at 44:15.
Owoicho added his second goal of the game at 60:28 to give Duke a 4-0 lead.
Walter Kotchin (North Hanover, NJ) scored the lone goal for the Jaspers at 62:44.
Antonio Treglia (Brookville, NY) made 11 saves for the Jaspers while Justin Trowbridge made two saves for the Blue Devils.
The Jaspers return to action on Friday, October 11, when they open conference play against Canisius at 3:00 pm at Gaelic Park.
