Jon Panella is beginning his second season as an assistant coach at Manhattan. Panella brings a wealth of soccer knowledge to Riverdale, holding a USSF A License, a USSF National Youth License, and a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. A two year captain and team MVP as an undergraduate at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Panella is the head coach of the U-14 Boys Upper State team and a F, E, and D coaching licenses instructor in addition to his duties at Manhattan. Prior to becoming the head coach of the U-14 team, he was the head coach at Bayley Ellard High School, where in 1999, his team won the Colonial Hills Conference championship, as well as the Morris County Tournament Championship. That team advanced to the North Parochial B State Sectional Championship game.
