            Joining Ray Green’s program this year will be Robin Pearce.  Pearce is a 2005 graduate of Rutgers University - Newark, where she joined the volleyball team as an assistant coach for the Scarlet Raiders after an outstanding four year career.  During her tenure at Rutgers-Newark, she was a four year varsity letter-winner  on the volleyball team.

            Pearce is one of the most decorated student-athletes in Rutgers-Newark history.  She was AVCA Honorable Mention All-American and AVCA All Mid-Atlantic Region team in 2003.  Pearce was a First Team All-NJAC selection for three years as well as six time NJAC Player of the Week. She was Rutgers-Newark Female Athlete of the Year in 2002-2003 and also recieved the NJAIAW Rutgers-Newark Woman of the Year award in the same year.  To go along with her athletic accomplishments, Robin was on the Dean’s List, Gold Honor Roll, and Honors College for all eight of her semesters while attending Rutgers-Newark.  She was named to ESPN The Magazine’s Academic All-District Team, American All-Region II College Division Volleyball Team, New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and received Rutgers-Newark Female Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2002, 2003, and 2005.  Robin was recognized as the inaugural Rutgers-Newark Female Athlete of the Year and is the only athlete to ever earn the insitution’s Rookie-Athlete of the Year, Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Student-Athlete of the Year awards. 

            Hailing from San Diego, California, Pearce graduated Rutgers-Newark with a degree in business management and a minor in economics.  She is currently in the process of achieving her MBA in sports management from Seton Hall University.
