Jenna Dingler is entering her sixth season as the head coach of the Manhattan Women's Lacrosse program.
In her most recent campaign in 2024, Manhattan once more won their opening home contest, this time against LIU, while Andrea Liotta ended her time as a Jasper as one of the most decorated athletes in program history, earning All-MAAC Second Team honors as a graduate student.
Three of her first four games in 2023 resulted in wins, including an overtime win against Sacred Heart in the season opening contest. Furthermore, the Jaspers' first two MAAC games also resulted in victories. Former Defensive Player of the Year Andrea Liotta was once again named All-MAAC First Team, while midfielders in sophomore and Emily Derrico and junior Julianna Iovine were each named to the All-MAAC Second Team.
2022 led with the momentum that came at the end of 2021, with the program reaching double digit wins for the first time since 2019. In addition, a first round victory in the MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship was the first playoff win for the Jaspers since 2005, as Manhattan won a triple-overtime thriller against third seeded Niagara.
Anchoring the team to these heights was 2022 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year Andrea Liotta. The junior led the conference in caused turnovers with 34 and a tie for ground balls at 44. Joining Liotta on the All-MAAC First Team were senior Grace Lipponer, who scored the game-winner in said playoff win, and fellow defender freshman Clare McCooe.
In 2021, she guided the Jaspers to a three-game winning streak to end the regular season, and oversaw the development of All-MAAC Second Team selection Grace Lipponer and MAAC All-Rookie Team honoree Jillian Reiner.
She made an immediate splash in 2020, as the Green & White posted a thrilling overtime victory against La Salle in the season opener. Manhattan also registered victories over Detroit Mercy and Sacred Heart before the season was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Dingler arrived in Riverdale after spending two seasons as the head coach at Division II Caldwell College. During her time there, she oversaw the development of four All-Central Atlantic Athletic Conference (CAAC) selections.
Arden Kassaleh cracked the 200-goal plateau under Dingler’s mentorship in 2019 at Caldwell, en route to earning ECAC Offensive Player of the Year honors. Kassaleh was also the school's first All-Region individual honoree, and was selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Atlantic Region Second Team.
In Dingler’s first season, the Cougars advanced to the CAAC Final Four for the first time in program history, while midfielder Rachel Lucia was tabbed as the ECAC Defensive Player of the Year. Lucia was also a standout off the field and was cited as Caldwell’s 2019 NCAA Woman of the Year.
Dingler, who also was the director of recreation at Caldwell, took over the reins of the Cougars after serving as an assistant coach in 2017.
She also has served as the director of Evolution Girls Lacrosse Academy, and previously was the head coach of the South Jersey Devils.
On the field, Dingler was a four-year standout and totaled 102 points with 89 goals at Lock Haven University. As a junior, she was named an IWLCA First Team All-American selection and helped lead the Bald Eagles to back-to-back NCAA Division II Championship game appearances and a pair of PSAC titles.
Dingler graduated with a degree in recreation management from Lock Haven in 2016, before earning her master’s degree in exercise science with a concentration in sports administration and coaching from Montclair State University.
