Chris Gil

Chris Gil begins his first season with the Jaspers Men’s Volleyball program in 2026, after being named Assistant Coach in August.

Gil joins Manhattan after a successful stint at conference foe Merrimack College for its Men’s Volleyball program, where he helped the program capture a 16-6 campaign during its third overall season, and finished the 2025 season with six straight victories.

While with the Warriors, Gil contributed to tactical planning, player development, and played a major role in scouting. Gil earned the 2024 AVCA Diversity Award. One of 33 recipients nationwide.

He oversaw the highest point getter on Merrimack, Kai Vogel, put together a masterclass campaign averaging 3.73 points-per-set, and pacing the Warriors with 2.97 kills-per-set, and led from the service line with 41 aces.

As a student-athlete, Gil was a three-year starter at Eastern Nazarene College for it’s Men’s Volleyball program. He was also a key contributor to the team for reaching the conference semifinals in back-to-back seasons. He helped lead ENC to the conference finals in his senior season.

Out of the collegiate circuit, Gil was head coach of the MVP Academy for three years, where he coached and mentored youth teams across multiple age divisions. He led teams to over 15 medal finishes at regional and national competitions. Throughout his tenure at the club level, Gil foused on player development, technical growth, and team culture.

Gil graduated from Eastern Nazarene College with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, and a minor in Communications.
