Lou Fratello is in his first year as an assistant coach for the Manhattan College men's soccer team.

Prior to coming in Manhattan College, Fratello served for three years as the assistant men's soccer coach at Dominican College, where he worked for two of those years with Manhattan College Men's Head Coach Michael Swanwick. During Fratello's tenure at Dominican, the team won a CACC conference championship, an ECAC championship, an NCAA playoff berth and a final 2005 ranking of 11th in the nation.

Before joining the men's side at Dominican, Fratello was head women's coach there, serving in that role from 1998-2003 and leading the team each year to the CACC conference playoffs. Prior to that, from 1996-97, he was head coach at Nyack High School.

Fratello also has been a Region 1 Olympic Development Program coach for three years, and he is also head coach for the Empire State Games Hudson Valley Women's Open Division team.

Additionally, Fratello has helped write, create and instruct in four videos through the Youth Sports Club. Videos have included demonstrations in goalkeeping, fast footwork, shooting, and backyard soccer drills.

Fratello resides in Stony Point and has five children. His eldest daughter was a three time Division II national soccer champion at Franklin Pierce College.
