Doug Thibault completed his third year as an assistant coach for the Manhattan men's basketball team in 2020-21.
A 25-year coaching veteran, Thibault most recently worked at Harcum College as the program's associate head coach from 2013-18. During that time, he helped guide the Bears to a 133-31 record, including a school-record 88 wins over a three-year period, a berth in the 2014 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Final Four. Additionally, he helped the squad to three top-15 final rankings, while aiding in the development of six NJCAA All-Americans.
Additionally, Thibault oversaw the development of MAAC Defensive Player of the Year Pauly Paulicap, as well as Tyler Reynolds.
Previous to his time at Harcum, Thibault worked as an assistant coach at Longwood University for 10 years from 2003-13 and was an integral part in helping the Lancers successfully transition to the Division I ranks.
Thibault also has worked at Jamestown Community College-Olean (Head Coach), North Idaho (assistant), Howard (assistant) and Treasure Valley Community College (assistant).
He also served as the NJCAA Region 19 Basketball Coaches Association president last year and will be involved in all aspects of the program, including, but not limited to, game preparation, recruiting and scouting.
Thibault earned a degree in political science with a concentration in philosophy and law from Boise State University in 1998.
