Will Hesslink is the newest member of the baseball coaching staff, taking over the Volunteer Assistant Coach position. Hesslink is joining the staff after spending his last two years as a graduate student and player for the Jaspers.Â
Â
Hesslink was the Friday night starter for Manhattan, throwing three complete games in two years and helping mentor the pitching staff. Hesslink was team captain in 2023, receiving preseason All-Conference honors, and was a 1x MAAC Pitcher of the Week. Hesslink is primed to jump into a coaching role and use knowledge from his playing career to aid the rest of the staff. He will mainly work with Steven Rosen as the Assistant Pitching Coach, helping further develop the pitching staff. Hesslink will also be a first base coach this spring, working with the base runners.Â
Â
Prior to his time as a Jasper, Hesslink spent his undergraduate years at Boston College as a Relief Pitcher. During this time, Hesslink played with and against some of the top college talent in the country.Â
Â
Hesslink holds a B.A. in Economics from Boston College and an MBA in Economics and Finance from Manhattan College.
