Kevin Plut is from Middle Village, Queens. He is the son of Werner and Kathleen Plut. Kevin has two siblings, Kiersten Plut who attended Long Island University Post, and Ryan Plut. He attended Cathedral Preparatory School and Seminary where he ran track and cross country. Kevin was awarded various academic and athletic awards during his high school career: Most Valuable Freshman, Most Improved (Sophomore), Coach’s Award (Junior), Brain Payne Sportsman of the Year Award (Senior), and All-Scholastic Award (Senior). His team also placed 3rd in the Brooklyn-Queens CHSAA 2017 Championships. Kevin is in the class of 2023 studying Electrical Engineering with aspirations to become a consultant at an engineering firm. He was attracted to Manhattan College for its strong engineering school, intimate size, student life, and proximity to Van Cortlandt Park. Kevin’s cousin, Jamie Plut, also attended Manhattan College and graduated in 2011. Kevin has taken action in his greater community through his Eagle Scout projects hosting a clothing drive for the homeless and refurbishing the Our Lady of Hope’s Fence.
