LEWISBURG, PA – The Manhattan Jaspers Women's Golf team opened its sophomore campaign and 2026 fall season at the Bucknell Invitational at Bucknell Golf Club this past weekend.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Miren Ontanon opened her tenure as a Jasper in commanding fashion, bouncing back quickly after a pair of double bogeys to open the invitational and then recording three pars in the remainder of the front nine, including a birdie.
- On the back nine, Ontanon found stability with six pars and a birdie to finish one over par on the first day.
- Freshman Ambre Boullot logged five pars on the front nine and her first collegiate birdie on the 15th green in the first round to finish eight over.
- Junior Maddison Long responded with six pars on the back nine after starting the tournament with five bogeys in the first six holes.
- To open the second day, Boullot sank par on the opening three holes before landing a birdie on the fifth.
- Another transfer, Lara Dommach, opened her second day in Green and White with back-to-back birdies, then sank par in five of the next seven and closed with five pars on the back nine.
- Boullot then posted a stellar third round, finishing with three consecutive pars to close out her first collegiate competition. On the fifth hole, a par-4, Boullot posted a birdie before sinking par in the final four of nine on the back nine.
- Returning sophomore Giana Zinke logged an exceptional third round with four pars on the front nine, with a strong bounce-back birdie on the sixth hole after sinking a bogey on back-to-back holes. On the back nine, Zinke added another five pars to close out the first tournament of the year.
- Dommach, Boullot, Ontanon, and Zinke all sank single digits over par to close out Sunday's final round.

Head Coach Keith Prokop: "Even though we finish 14 shots better than last year at this event, the scores and results do not dictate the talent on this team. We had flashes of brilliance from each Jasper this week, and we are excited to keep improving throughout the season. We look forward to the Red Bandanna to build off what we learned in this first event."
