RIVERDALE, NY – Manhattan Men's and Women's Golf Head Coach Keith Prokop has released his 2026 Men's and Women's Golf fall schedule on Thursday morning.
"We are extremely excited for year two of Jasper Women's Golf!" exclaimed Prokop.
"With a year under our belts and already two collegiate victories, we now have experience on our side with our returnees, a boost of talent with our transfers, and two outstanding freshmen that will make this team incredibly strong and incredibly deep. We look to build off our strengths but using that first year as a catapult rather than a building block; we are looking to make some major strides this year."
Opening the second campaign of its existence, sophomore Peyton "Beans" Factor and the Women's Golf program will open their season in the Keystone State for the second straight year at the Bucknell Invitational, taking on the Bison in the three-day tournament starting on Friday, September 11.
Last year, in its first tournament, the Green and White logged a top 10 finish, spearheaded by a valiant performance from now-sophomore Giana Zinke, with more than half of the holes resulting in pars.
"We have a strong schedule, one to match the capabilities of this program."
"We showed our capabilities last year at Bucknell, logging the 3rd lowest round in a strong 19-team field. We hope the experience we now have can translate to multiple rounds of excellence rather than brilliance matches with inexperience."
The Jaspers and sophomore Isabella Encinas will trek to Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, MA and face the Boston College Eagles on September 21 and 22. Last season, the Green and White, Encinas posted five birdies through the three rounds to help her team to a top 12 finish in the Red Bandanna Invitational.
"This is a tough event," described Prokop. "We are looking forward to getting our revenge on this course."
"We know it's difficult, but floating off Bucknell last time our expectations and our abilities didn't match up, so we did not play to our strengths nor capabilities; we look to correct that here."
Following their trip to the Commonwealth, Manhattan will join the field of the Autumn Harvest, hosted by Lehigh, to take on the Mountain Hawks on Monday, September 28, and Tuesday, September 29 from Architects Golf Club in Lopatcong.
The Jaspers' final three invitationals of the fall campaign begin with their first journey to the United States Naval Academy at the US Naval Academy Golf Club and participation in the Navy Fall Invitational, hosted by the Midshipmen on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4.
"Personally, I am really looking forward to the Navy event. My family has strong ties, and I am looking forward to having the ladies compete here, but also to educate them a little bit on the history involved."
Junior Maddison Long and the Jaspers will compete in their first conference-hosted event of the season with a trip to Wallingford in the Nutmeg State and swing away in the Quinnipiac Classic from The Farms Country Club, hosted by the Bobcats on Monday, October 12, and Tuesday, October 13.
Lastly, sophomore Arianna Steele and the Green and White end their fall schedule with a visit back north to Holy Cross and join the field in the Crusader Invitational from Worcester, MA at Worcester Country Club on Monday, October 19, and Tuesday, October 20.
"The whole schedule should be a strong test leading into our championship segment in the spring to see where we stand and what we need to improve on in our new Jerry Wood Golf Center, which should provide a team that already comes out great in the spring and even greater chance at prolonged success into the first Metro Golf Championship."
On the Men's side, senior Walter Carley and the Jaspers begin their season nearly two weeks after the 2025-26 campaign, where the Green and White will embark on their first journey to the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate, which will take place in Seekonk, MA, and the Ledgemont Country Club on Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20.
"It's great to start with our favorite event of the year."
"The Ryan T Lee Foundation does an amazing job hosting the event; they really have every minor detail thought of. The foundation itself does great work; this will be a staple on our schedule as long as we remain invited!" joked Prokop.
Two weeks later, senior Akshay Mandadapu and Manhattan will continue its campaign on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, partaking in the Columbia Autumn Invitational from the Lake Placid Golf Club in Lake Placid.
Last season, Aidan Talent led the current Jaspers with a -1 during the first round of the tournament in the Adirondack Region.
The following holiday weekend, the Jaspers and senior Patrik Vinter will return to the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday, October 11 to Tuesday, October 13 from Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, PA.
During the final round of the 2025 Bucknell Invitational, Aidan Talent led the field of Jaspers with four birdies and nine pars, while finishing one over par on the afternoon.
Staying in the Keystone State is Manhattan, which faces the Delaware Blue Hens for the first time since their move to Conference USA and will participate in the Blue Hen Intercollegiate from Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford, PA on Monday, October 19, and Tuesday, October 20.
Rounding out the fall campaign on the final Monday and Tuesday of October are the Jaspers taking on battle in the Wykagyl Intercollegiate, hosted by the Iona Gaels from Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle on October 26 and 27, respectively.
"With a balance of new events and some familiar ones, we aim to continue to make strides in the right direction as we have every year. I think we are on teams' radars now in the Metro Conference, but we need to develop a little more consistency to be able to really cement ourselves as one of the true constant contenders!"
