EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) released its 2025-26 Women's Golf All-MAAC teams, which included Manhattan Jaspers' senior Nawel Ben Letaief to the All-MAAC Second Team, per release on Monday morning.
"Nawel [Ben Letaief] is unbelievably deserving of this award," said Head Coach Keith Prokop.
"Obviously, I'm biased about how much she has done for this program internally, but being about to win two events and lead the team to two victories in year one is going to be an accomplishment hard to beat for future Jaspers."
The Jouars Pontchartrain, Yvelines, France native and UTEP transfer put together a pair of individual victories for the Green and White in the Evann Parker Memorial, where Letaief finished with four birdies through the two rounds with three bogeys through 36 holes.
Letaief opened the inaugural spring campaign for the Jaspers in the Le Moyne Orange Tree Invitational, finishing atop the 40-player field with a combined eight birdies throughout the two-day event, to total one over par.
Throughout the remainder of the inaugural season for the French native, Letaief posted three additional top ten finishes individually in stroke play during the Sacred Heart Spring Break Women's Invite and finished fifth out of 42, while putting together a fourth-place individual finish in Sacred Heart's Fall Classic to end the month of September.
Overall, Letaief averaged a score of 78.3 and averaged 7.81 points throughout the season and through 22 total rounds ahead of the final invitational of her senior season.
Finally, additional golfers named to the All-MAAC list include Albany's Thantita Aungsuseewong, Madison Kuratani, Callie Taylor, and Mia Cepeda. Fairfield's Katelynn Waclawski and Sofia Nogalo. Quinnipiac's Marisa Flores, Sophia Fujita, and Samantha Galantini. Merrimack's June Doerr. Finally, Sacred Heart's Jessie Burch and Maite Cantu.
The Jaspers finish out their 2025-26 season in the Sunshine State on Tuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 22, when the Green and White take part in the 2026 MAAC Women's Golf Championships from Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista.
