SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Manhattan Jaspers softball team (1-4), put together a double digit run total against the Braves from Bradley (2-3) by the final score of 10-3 at H-E-B Field on Sunday morning.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wasting no time, Samantha Kelly used a walk and a groundout to get into scoring position in the opening frame.
- Fellow freshman Natalye DeBus rocketed a ball over the left field fence to put the Jaspers up two.
- Mia Magriz then hopped the ball over the fence to finish with three runs by inning number one.
- Brianna Estevez joined the home run party, also scoring Kelly with a two-run shot that put the Green and White up by five.
- Bradley kept the game competitive with a two-run shot to cut the game to 5-2 by the end of three.
- Karissa Spring opened the game in the circle for the Jaspers, allowing two earned runs in two and a third innings.
- Sophia Kiseloski and Kaitlyn Moody went back-to-back in the top half of the fourth, with the scoreboard growing to 8-2.
- Each side traded a few more scores, but Manhattan's control was well-established, coasting to a 10-3 victory by the end.
- Kiseloski pitched the final four and two-thirds, earning her first win of the season while collecting two strikeouts and allowing a sole earned run.
STATS AND NOTES
- Manhattan tallied five home runs, the highest number they've reached in the early goings of the season.
- Senior utility player Sophia Kiseloski had quite the morning on both sides of the ball, tallying two RBI and strikeouts.
- Sophomore outfielder Brianna Estevez, Freshman infielder Natalye DeBus, Kiseloski, and Freshman infielder Kaitlyn Moody each accumulated two RBI, combining for a total of eight.

Manhattan will continue its 2026 campaign next weekend at the Elon Softball Invitational, starting on Friday, February 13 when the Jaspers open with a doubleheader against Dayton at 12:30 PM and Elon at 3:00 PM. The second game will feature a live broadcast on FloCollege.
