LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. -
Reeling off a recent four-game skid, the Manhattan Jaspers look to get back in the win column Saturday against the Saints from Siena. Leading Manhattan in the points category has been Senior guard Brianna Davis, averaging 14.2 points a night, including a Division I high of 28 points last time out against Rider this past Thursday. Her scoring average puts her in fourth place across the MAAC. On the defensive end, Graduate forwards Colette Mulderig and Agar Farrés Garcia have helped anchor that end of the floor, with the former's 1.7 average on blocks putting her in second place across the MAAC, while the latter's 6.9 rebounds have her in fifth. The Green and White will look to feel another victory before welcoming in Canisius and Niagara next weekend, with the Golden Griffins on Thursday (Feb. 12) and the Purple Eagles next Saturday (Feb. 14).

Scouting the Opposition:

After opening the 2025-26 season 2-7, the Siena Saints have gotten off to an 8-5 start in the MAAC slate, including winning their last three against Canisius, Niagara, and Saint Peter's.

Prior to conference play, Siena's two wins came against New Haven and Central Connecticut State on Dec. 3 and 15.

Siena is led by Freshman guard Francesca Schiro, whose 17.5 points-per-game average puts her in second place across the MAAC, trailing only Kaety L'Amoreaux from Fairfield.

Just behind her in the scoring column is R-Sophomore guard Nicole Melious, averaging double figures herself at 11.4 along with 3.3 assists a night.

Junior guards Genevive Wedemeyer and Caydence Hadley both average at least seven points, with the former at 8.7.

Siena was selected to finish fifth in this year's edition of the MAAC Preseason Poll, exactly where they stand currently going into Saturday's matchup.

In 2024-25, Siena finished the season with an overall record of 17-14, going 14-6 within the conference slate to earn the third seed in the MAAC Championship.

In the MAAC Quarterfinals at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, Siena fell to sixth-seeded Merrimack by the final score of 79-72.

This will serve as the 79th matchup between Siena and Manhattan, with the Jaspers winning the last meeting in Loudonville 62-43.
