LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. -
On a recent three-game skid, the Manhattan Jaspers look to get back on the road Thursday against the Broncs from Rider. Leading Manhattan in the points category has been Senior guard Brianna Davis, averaging 13.6 points a night, including a Division I high of 23 points and 11 rebounds on Jan. 19 against Rider. Her scoring average puts her in sixth place in the MAAC. On the defensive end, Graduate forwards Colette Mulderig and Agar Farrés Garcia have helped anchor that end of the floor, with the former's 1.6 average on blocks putting her in second place across the MAAC, while the latter's 6.8 rebounds have her in fifth. The Green and White will look to take care of business before finishing their brief road trip at Siena on Saturday (Feb. 7).

Scouting the Opposition:

After opening the 2025-26 season 2-12, the Rider Broncs have now secured two wins in the conference schedule, taking down both Siena on Jan. 8 and Sacred Heart on Jan. 17.

Prior to conference play, Rider's two wins came against Lafeyette in their opening game of the season 65-68 and then on the road at LIU 58-43 on December 2.

Rider is led by Graduate forward Kristina Ekofo, putting up 11.5 points a night and scoring a career-high of 32 last time out against Mount, shooting 12-for-22.

Just behind her in the scoring column is Juior guard Aliya McIver (9.0) as well as leading the squad in assists (3.6), rebounds (6.1), and steals (2.3).

Four more players average 6.4 points or more per game, starting with Redshirt Junior guard Deb Okechukwu (7.2), Sophomore guard Emmy Roach (6.8), Freshman guard Alena Cofield (6.7) and Freshman guard Aina Perez Mesquida (6.4).

Rider was selected to finish 13th in this year's edition of the MAAC Preseason Poll.

In 2024-25, Rider finished the season with an overall record of 7-22, going 5-15 within the conference slate.

Due to their placement at 12th place in the MAAC, the Broncs did not qualify for the 2025 MAAC Championship.

This will serve as the 58th matchup between Rider and Manhattan, with the Jaspers winning the first meeting this season inside Draddy 58-46.
