RIVERDALE, NY – After rounding out her roster for the 2025-26 campaign, Head Coach Heather Vulin has announced the addition of one of her former student-athletes, Dee Dee Davis '23, as an Assistant Coach, on Tuesday afternoon.
"We are so excited to announce Dee Dee Davis will be joining our staff as an assistant coach." says Vulin.
"Besides being one of the top players in our programs history she was one of the very best in the MAAC during her career here in Riverdale. She was one of the first local recruits to believe in what we were building and then made an incredible impact leading us to two MAAC championship game appearances."
"Dee Dee's ability to connect with people and mentor will make an immediate impact and we are so excited to have her and her family back home."
The Bronx native returns to where her collegiate career began after finishing four stellar years donning the Green and White and then taking her talents to the University of Rhode Island to conclude her collegiate playing tenure in 2023-24.
While a member of the Women's Basketball program at Riverdale, she accrued a plethora of accolades, including being named to the All-MAAC First Team twice. While being named All-MAAC Second Team in 2021-22, followed by starting off her collegiate career as a unanimous member of the 2018-19 MAAC All-Rookie Team.
At Manhattan under Vulin, she became the first Jasper to tally a triple-double since 1994, collecting 13 points, 13 boards, and 10 assists.
"It is an incredible honor to return to Manhattan University and join Coach Vulin's staff," said Davis.
"She recruited me at just 17 years old and played a pivotal role in shaping both my athletic and personal journey. Manhattan University is where I found my voice, met my wife, and built a foundation that continues to impact my life today. Coach Vulin has been a powerful example of leadership, showing me that it's possible to lead with purpose, build a life of impact, and still show up fully for your family."
