Traore Named to All-MAAC Rookie Team

EDISON, N.J. - Manhattan College freshman forward Seydou Traore has been named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men's All-Rookie Team, the league office announced on Monday
 
Traore stepped onto the scene ready to compete, as he held the crown for top rebounding freshman in the nation for the majority of the 2023-24 season. The Bronx, N.Y. native averaged 11.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 34 blocked shots in his freshman season. He started 24 of 26 games and shot 51.6 percent from the floor.
 
The freshman registered 17 double-digit games with a game-high 20 points and five double-doubles.
 
No. 10 seed Manhattan opens the MAAC Tournament on Tuesday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. versus No. 7 seed Iona at Jim Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
