Davis Honored by Met Writers For Second Consecutive Season

NEW YORK, N.Y. – For the second time in her decorated career in the Green and White, Dee Dee Davis has been honored by the Metropolitan Writers Association, being named Second Team All-Met, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Last year, Davis earned a spot on the same team for her performance. During the season, Davis earned Metropolitan Player of the Week following her 37-point performance against Siena.

Davis finished the year leading the Jaspers in most major statistical categories, averaging 15.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 2.4 steals a game.  Davis hauled in nine double-doubles last season as well as one triple-double, which came against LIU when she finished with 13 points, 13 boards and 10 assists.

Davis helped the Jaspers make it all the way to the MAAC Championship Game for the second season in a row before being stopped by the top-seeded Iona Gaels.
