Juric Earns Preseason All-MAAC Honors

EDISON, N.J. - Junior forward Petra Juric has been named to the 2023 Preseason All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Team, announced by the league today.
 
A native of Zagreb, Croatia, Juric enters her junior campaign after a stellar sophomore season.
 
She started 21 of 24 games last season, averaging 10.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.3 steals. Juric was the only player in Division I to record three 20-point double-doubles in her first three appearances. Helping guide Manhattan to the MAAC Tournament championship game, Juric's play garnered her 2022-2023 MAAC Championship All-Tournament Team accolades.
 
Fans can catch their first glimpse of the women's basketball team on Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. when the Jaspers host Queens College in an exhibition at Draddy Gymnasium. Manhattan officially opens the season on Nov. 6 versus Central Connecticut State at home.
