RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Head coach
Drew Kelleher and the Manhattan men's lacrosse program have announced the 2022 schedule.
The schedule features 12 games with five home contests at Gaelic Park. Six games are non-conference matchups before the schedule closes with six MAAC games. The season starts with a trip to Durham to face Duke. The Blue Devils finished last season ranked 5
th in the Inside Lacrosse Media poll.
"We are excited to start the 2022 season and think our out-of-conference schedule will prepare us to compete for a MAAC Championship," said Kelleher.
Last season the Jaspers advanced to the MAAC Championship Game, where they lost to Monmouth, 14-9.
Manhattan opens its home slate on Feb. 16 against WMI at 3 p.m. After facing Navy on a neutral field at Hofstra, the Jaspers return home to host the Seahawks of Wagner on Feb. 26.
MAAC play starts with a home game against Quinnipiac on Mar. 19. The schedule alternates home and away during league play. The other MAAC home games for the Jaspers are Canisius and Marist. Manhattan visits St. Bonaventure, Siena, and Monmouth in the regular-season finale.
The 2022 MAAC Championship will take place from May 4-7. Each game of the four-team tournament will be hosted by the higher seed.
