Manhattan Weekly Preview

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan men's and women's basketball teams play pairs of MAAC contests this week as the New Year begins. 

The men's basketball team returns to action after winning both games at the Cobb Dill & Hammett Tournament at the Citadel in late December. The Jaspers beat Charleston Southern, 99-75, and The Citadel, 77-74. Josh Roberts and Jose Perez were named to the All-Tournament team, with Perez also collecting MVP honors.

The women's basketball team returns to play following an 85-63 victory in Western New York, against Canisius. The Jaspers outscored the Griffs by 20 over the second and third quarters to even their MAAC record at 1-1.1
