All You Need To Know About The MAAC Tournament

Albany, NY - The 2019 MAAC Basketball Championships will take place from Thursday, March 7 - Monday, March 11, at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY. Below is a listing of all events that will be taking place throughout the week. 

The women earned the No. 6 seed and will open play against No. 11 Saint Peter's on Thursday, March 7 at 1:30 pm. With a win, Manhattan will play No. 3 Marist on Saturday, March 9 at 12:00 pm. The Jaspers would then play on Sunday, March 10 at 1:30 pm with the Championship game tabbed for Monday, March 11 at 2:30 pm.

The men earned the No. 7 seed and will square off with No. 10 Fairfield on Thursday, March 7 at 7:00 pm. With a victory, the Jaspers will play in the quarterfinals against No. 2 Canisius on Friday, March 8 at 9:30 pm. With a victory, Manhattan would play in the semifinals on Sunday, March 10 at 8:30 pm with the Championship slated for Monday, March 11 at 9:00 pm.

There will be a meet-up for all fans between the games at City Beer Hall at 4:30 pm, located on 42 Howard St, Albany, NY 12207.

Monday, March 11

* Hannaford MAAC-n-Cheese Fest (Albany Capital Center): 4:00 pm-8:00 pm
The fourth annual Hannaford MAAC-n-Cheese Fest, the official fan festival of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men's and Women's Basketball Championships, will follow the MAAC Women's Basketball Championship at 2:30 pm and take place prior to the MAAC Men's Basketball Championship which tips off at 9:00 pm. Both games will be held at the Times Union Center, which is connected by walkway to the Albany Capital Center.
 
During the Hannaford MAAC-n-Cheese Fest, fans will have the opportunity to sample gourmet mac-n-cheese dishes from numerous local restaurants, including: 677 Prime; City Beer Hall; City Squire; Druthers; New World Bistro Bar; Public House 42; The Tipsy Moose; Valente's; and Wellington's. Guests will also enjoy craft beer and wine selections at the Saratoga Eagle Craft Beer Garden.

Tickets for the Hannaford MAAC-n-Cheese Fest are available at www.albanyfanfest.com. Fans can save $2 per set of sampling tickets with advance purchase. Tickets purchased in advance are $8 and entitle guests to five samples of mac-n-cheese. Tasting tickets will also be available at the door for $10 (cash only).
 
Craft beer and wine tasting tickets will be $5 for three samples and are available exclusively at the event (cash only; must be at least 21 years old with a valid ID).
 
The Hannaford MAAC-n-Cheese Fest will also feature free family-friendly activities and entertainment, including face painting, balloon artists, inflatables and music from a DJ.
