New York, NY - Senior Rich Williams (Brooklyn, NY / Vermont Academy (VT)) earned Third All-Met recognition as announced by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association.
The fifth-year senior was among the four MAAC student-athletes to be recognized on the three teams joining Fairfield senior guard Tyler Nelson (First Team), Iona junior guard Rickey McGill (Second Team) and Rider guard/forward Dimencio Vaughn (Second Team).
Williams averaged a team-leading 14.6 points (9th MAAC), 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists (15th MAAC) per game en route to in earning Second Team All-MAAC honors. The guard was ninth in the conference in scoring and seventh in three-point shooting percentage (.426) and led Manhattan with 23 double-digit scoring performances, nine 20-point games and a pair of double-doubles before representing the MAAC at the inaugural 3x3 National Championship.
