Halifax, Nova Scotia - Three-time MAAC Defensive Player of the Year Rhamel Brown has signed with the Halifax Hurricanes of the National Basketball League of Canada for the upcoming season.
Brown, who played for Hasharon of the Israeli National League a year ago, finished his four seasons at Manhattan as the Jaspers' all-time record holder in blocks.
He played last summer at Sameji in Santiago League in Dominican Republic and previously averaged 10.0 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 1.4 spg and 2.2 bpg for Swiss Central in the Swiss LNA.
A two-time All-MAAC selection, he helped guide Manhattan to a 25-8 record, a MAAC Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament as a senior in 2013-2014.
