LAST WEEKEND AT UCF
Junior Michael Pfenninger and sophomore Fabian Pena each hit .364 (4-for-11) … Additionally, both players recorded a three-hit performance ... Senior Jose Carrera also had a big weekend, batting safely in all three games while hitting .308.

TOUCH EM' ALL PAUL
Junior Paul Genners crushed his first career home run and the first of the season for the Jaspers in last weekend's second game against the Golden Knights.

HAPPY RETURNS
Senior Evan Brown, classmate Matt Forlow and junior Brendan Bisset all recorded hits last weekend at UCF after missing the bulk of 2016. Additionally, senior RHP Matt Simonetti was solid in his first action of the year on the mound.

KKKKKKK-OSGROVE
Cosgrove fanned seven batters in just 5.2 innings of action in game two against the Golden Knights.

ARNTSEN STRONG
Junior LHP Stephen Arntsen fired 2.1 innings of one-hit relief over two appearances at UCF.

LAST YEAR VS. FIU
Bisset hit a team-best .333 (4-for-12) while junior Adam Genners batted .308 (4-for-13) with Pena checking in with a .294 average, highlighted by two doubles, a home run and four RBI. Senior RHP Shawn Kanwisher was outstanding in earning the lone Manhattan victory, striking out two over 3.0 scoreless frames.

The Jaspers boast five student-athletes that hail from the Miami area.

SCOUTING FIU
The Golden Panthers are 2-5 with Kenny Meimerstorf (.370) and Irving Lopez (.346) pacing the offense.

THE RETURNERS

ROAD WARRIORS
The Jaspers will play its first 17 games either on the road or at a neutral site.

DUTCHESS STADIUM
Manhattan will call Duchess Stadium in Wappingers Falls, NY home for the third-straight season.

DUFFY BACK FOR SIXTH YEAR
Head Coach Jim Duffy returns to Riverdale for his sixth year at the helm of the Jaspers. Duffy guided Manhattan to the MAAC Championship in 2012 and last season won his 100th career game.

PENA GARNERS PRESEASON HONORS
On the heels of his landmark rookie campaign, Pena was tabbed as the MAAC Preseason Player of the Year in the annual Coaches Poll as well as by Baseball AmericaCollegiate BaseballD1 Baseball and Perfect Game.

TOP PROSPECT(S)
Pena also was selected as the No. 1 MAAC Pro Prospect for the 2018 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft by D1Baseball.Com and was slated as the 130th top collegiate prospect for the 2018. Cosgrove was also slated as the top prospect for the 2017 MLB Draft by Baseball America and as the fourth-best by D1Baseball.Com. Additionally 2016 First Team All-MAAC selection Jose Carrera was picked as the No. 10 pro prospect in the circuit by Baseball America.

NEWCOMERS
The Jaspers welcome nine student-athletes to the fold this year, including five pitchers and four position players.

MAAC PRESEASON POLL
Manhattan was tabbed to finish fourth and return to the MAAC Tournament in the annual preseason Coach Poll for the second-straight year and fourth time in Duffy's tenure in Riverdale.

THE STAFF
Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Brian McCullough is back for his second year while assistant coach Danny Benedetti is in his first season.

BROTHERS IN ARMS
For the second-straight year, the Jaspers will boast two sets of brothers: Joey Rocchietti and sophomore Anthony Rocchietti as well as junior twins Adam Genners and Paul Genners

2006 TEAM INDUCTED TO HALL OF FAME
The landmark 2006 Manhattan Baseball team that upset nationally ranked Nebraska en route to a second-place finish at the Lincoln Regional was selected to the Manhattan College Athletic Hall of Fame this past fall.
