Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) and men's basketball player Pauly Paulicap (Elmont, NY / Harcum College) are Manhattan College's ATAX Student-Athletes of the Week for Monday, December 11 to Sunday, December 17.
A freshman center for the Manhattan College women's basketball team, Warley is coming off a breakout performance this past Saturday where she made her first collegiate start and recorded her first career double-double. In 23 minutes of play, Warley tallied 14 points and 12 rebounds (both career highs) against LIU Brooklyn, helping the Jaspers to a 72-38 victory over the Blackbirds. She shot 80.0 percent from the field and tallied two assists and two steals, as well. Warley had a previous career high of four points and seven rebounds on November 25 against Coppin State in Manhattan's second game of the 2017 Cal Classic in Berkeley, CA.
Paulicap scored 16 points with a career and game-high nine rebounds at Tulsa. He also added a pair of blocks and was 8-of-10 from the floor. Paulicap leads the MAAC with 2.7 blocks per game while ranking second in field goal percentage (.600) and 11th in rebounding (5.5 rpg).
