2010 All-MAAC Men's Basketball Teams
RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Jaspers' junior guard Rico Pickett was named to the All-MAAC Third Team as announced by the league office on Monday. Pickett led the MAAC in scoring through the regular-season averaging 17.1 points and he was sixth in the league shooting 43.5% from the field.
Pickett led the Jaspers in scoring 17 times and posted double-figures in 25 of 27 appearances. The Alabama native delivered nine 20+ point performances and exploded for a career-high 32 points at Rider on Jan. 28. He posted 28 of his 32 points in the first half on 12-for-18 shooting coming up just two points shy of the program's record. Pickett has scored 463 points and swiped 33 steals. He shot 70% from the free-throw line and averaged 3.9 rebounds per contest.
Manhattan (10-19, 4-14) enters the 2010 MAAC Championships as the #9 seed and will face #8 Loyola (13-16, 6-12) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Times Union Center in Albany.
