Riverdale, N.Y. (March 8, 2007)?Manhattan men's basketball head coach Barry Rohrssen is scheduled to be a guest on Big East Madness, a studio-based program airing live on SportsNet New York (SNY) this Friday, March 9 at 6:30 p.m. Two days later, Rohrssen will make another appearance on SNY as part of the network's Geico SportsNite program.
On Friday's program, Rohrssen, a former Big East assistant coach with the University of Pittsburgh, will join a group of panelists in dissecting and previewing the remaining games of the Big East Tournament. Rohrssen, who recently completed his first season as the Jaspers' top mentor, worked under Pitt head coaches Ben Howland and Jamie Dixon during his seven-year tenure in the Iron City.
Rohrssen will find himself back at the SNY Studios on Sunday, March 11 for SNY's Geico SportsNite show, which will air live at 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. The Manhattan head coach will lend his expertise as the show's personalities comment on NCAA Tournament selections.
Rohrssen's appearance on Sunday's edition of Geico SportsNite will mark the third time the Brooklyn native has appeared on the New York sports network this week. Rohrssen was part of a round table discussion on Wednesday's installment of Daily News Live along with Bob Raissman of the New York Daily News and ESPN Radio's Brandon Tierney.
Manhattan College Basketball Weekly, which features Rohrssen and host Ed Cohen, will also air on SNY this Friday at 4:30 p.m. and replay on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
