Mike Konovelchick were name to Preseason All-MAAC teams.
The Jaspers received 85 points and four first place votes to edge out Fairfield and Niagara, who each received 83 points and two first place votes, for the top spot. Iona received the final two first place votes and 71 points overall to rank fourth in the preseason poll, which is conducted by the conference's head coaches.
Mulligan was named to the Preseason All-MAAC Second Team, while Konovelchick was named to the Preseason All-MAAC Third Team. Mulligan is the team's top returning scorer and rebounder after averaging 10.9 points and 4.4 caroms a game last season. Konovelchick averaged 6.6 points and 3.3 rebounds during his sophomore season, connecting on 40 three-point shots.
Manhattan begins its title defense on Sunday, November 21, when the Jaspers host South Dakota State at 3:00 p.m. at Draddy Gym.
