Andujar Trying Out For Puerto Rico National Team

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Manhattan College Men's Basketball player Emmy Andujar is currently in Puerto Rico in a weeklong tryout for Puerto Rico's national team that will compete in the 2013 Stankovich Cup, held in China from June 27-July 29.

Andujar will check in periodically during his time in Puerto Rico to chronicle his quest to compete against the world's best youth basketball players.

"What's up Jasper Nation!

I wanted to share my journey with you. While my teammates are working hard in Draddy, I'm in Puerto Rico, trying out for the PR national team to go to China and play in a few games against Argentina, China, Australia, and Venezuela.

There are three other New Yorkers alongside with me, PJ Torres from Duquesne, TJ Curry from Marist, and Chris Ortiz from Kent State. There are other good players from other schools and a few pro players. On Monday. we had practice at 10am until 12:30 then had some conditioning and lifting at 4pm.

Until next time! I will give a brief update on how things are going.
