Zach Dovel joined Manhattan University as the Director of Strategic Communications and Digital Media, effective August 18, 2025.

Prior to his stay in Riverdale, he served as the Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Division II Adelphi University from 2023-2025. There, he oversaw five varsity sports (FH, MGOLF, SB, WBB, WGOLF) while also leading the student-ran production team responsible for live streaming home contests via NE10 NOW on FloCollege. 

Dovel received his master's degree in Sport Management from Adelphi in May of 2025. He also received his bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Hofstra University in May of 2023. 

While working towards his graduate degree, Zach furthered his professional experience working part-time with the NBA G League's Long Island Nets, serving as a primary statistician. In addition, Dovel took freelancing jobs at nearby colleges such as St. John's University, Stony Brook University, and Queens College doing similar work. 

Currently residing on Long Island, Dovel originally hails from Ashburn, Va., spending his last six years in the Empire State.
