Dr. Theresa L. Pirraglia is a NYS board certified chiropractor specializing in Active Release
Therapy® (“A.R.T.”). She is a graduate of Boston University and University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic.
Affectionately known as the “Muscle Whisperer”, she prides herself on
being the first female ART® certified practitioner in Westchester County. ART® is a patented,
state -of-the-art soft tissue system that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia
and nerves.
With her many years of expertise in the field including 14 years of ART® certification, Dr
Pirraglia is considered the “go to” doctor for many levels of athletes from professional and
Olympic to collegiate and high school sports. She has worked regularly at country clubs
including Winged Foot during the US Open and with local golf professionals, treating golfers
both during and in preparation for tournaments. Since 2010, she has served as a Sports
Chiropractor at the Atlantic 10 Championship Track and Field Tournament in Rhode Island for
Fordham University. She has also worked at various biathlons and triathlons taking place in
New York City and was an attending ART chiropractor at the Panama City, Florida IRONMAN
in 2005. Dr. Pirraglia has consulted with major sports teams, and has provided chiropractic care
to many professional athletes. Currently, she serves as part of the Sports Medicine Teams at Fordham University for nine years and at Manhattan College for eight years. She also has operated her own private practice specializing in athletic performance enhancement since 2006.
Dr. Pirraglia resides in Westchester County with her husband, three children and a rotating roster
of rescue foster pets. Her interests include the culinary arts and crossfit.
