Bridget Hurlman

Bridget Hurlman enters her sixth season as an assistant coach for the Jaspers.  A two-time All-MAAC selection at Marist, Hurlman served as team captain when the Red Foxes won the MAAC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2006.

Hurlman earned Second Team All-MAAC honors following both the 2005 and 2006 campaigns.  In 2005, she started every game at either catcher or designated player and posted a .331 batting average.  Hurlman also led the Red Foxes with seven home runs, 33 RBIs and a .569 slugging percentage that season.  As a senior in 2006, Hurlman drew a team-high 22 walks and posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.  She also earned a place on the MAAC All-Tournament Team, as the Red Foxes won their first-ever MAAC Championship.

She began her coaching career as an assistant at SUNY Purchase in 2007.  During her time at SUNY Purchase, she worked primarily with the pitchers and catchers, while assisting with offensive instruction.  Hurlman was also involved in all other aspects of the program, including practice planning, budgeting, travel arrangements and recruiting.

Also a certified athletic trainer, Hurlman is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.  From September-December 2006, she worked as an athletic trainer at Walt Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex, where she provided medical care to athletes of all ages in a variety of sports.  From August 2007-May 2009, she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at St. John'sUniversity, where she worked primarily with the women's cross country and track and field teams, as well as the men's lacrosse and men's and women's soccer squads. 

A three-time MAAC All-Academic selection, Hurlman graduated cum laude from Marist in 2006.  She received a master's degree in sports management from St. John's in May 2012.

The daughter of Margaret and James Hurlman, she currently resides in Yonkers, N.Y.
