Pelham Country Club Assistant Golf Professional Phil Wildermuth is in his fourth year as the head coach of the Manhattan Golf team.

This past season, Preston Shortell won the Metropolitan Invitational individual title, while Sam Taraian captured the Red Storm Invitational individual championship.

In 2018-19, his first year at the helm, the Jaspers finished eighth at the MAAC Championship.

Wildermuth has 16 years of experience as a professional in New York, spending the last 10 years at Pelham Country Club. During that time, he has instructed junior clinics and camps, coordinated PGA and Pelham junior leagues and offered private lessons to a wide range of golfers.

Prior to his time in Pelham, Wildermuth was the Centennial Golf Club assistant professional in Carmel, NY for five years.

Wildermuth got his start at New Mexico State in 2000, working as the tournament coordinator for the Pro Golf Management (PGM) office.

As a player, Wildermuth medaled at the 2013 Westchester Open and 2004 New York State Open qualifiers, and he currently competes in Met section and national events.

A Class 'A' PGA member, Wildermuth is certified in FlightScope, Eyeline, Tour Roll and as a U.S. Kids instructor. He graduated from New Mexico State with a bachelor's degree in marketing/PGM in 2002.
