INDIANAPOLIS – Three Manhattan track and field student-athletes have qualified for the 2023 NCAA Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships East First Round, the NCAA announced on Thursday.
RJ Decker,
Mary Gill, and
Kristin Stickdorn will be representing the Green and White in Jacksonville, Fla., from May 24-27. All three will be competing in the hammer throw.
Decker was the MAAC Champion in the hammer throw (63.68m, 208'11"). Decker's best mark of the season came at the Rider Invitational, which was 63.73m (209'1"). That mark is a personal best for the sophomore.
Stickdorn and Gill are 1-2 in the MAAC in the hammer throw. Stickdorn won the hammer and the discus at the 2023 MAAC Outdoor Championships two weeks ago. Gill was second to Stickdorn in the hammer at the MAAC Championships and posted a season-best 58.70m (192'7") at the ECAC Championships last week.
