OVERPECK, N.J. - Manhattan's first and second varsity eights placed third today in their races with Canisius and Sacred Heart at Overpeck Park. Sacred Heart came out victorious in both outings.
The 1V8, with Kerry Sullivan as coxswain, raced in lane two, finishing with a time of 8:17.208. Sacred Heart finished in 7:39.668, while Canisius finished in 7:52.907.
The 2V8, with Maura McCarthy as coxswain, raced in lane one, finishing with a time of 8:41.402. Sacred Heart finished in 7:54.866, while Canisius finished in 8:13.816.
The Jaspers are next in action Saturday April 22nd, at the Spring Metropolitan Championships hosted by Iona.
