OVERPECK, N.J. - Manhattan rowing continued their spring season today at Overpeck Park where they competed against Holy Cross, Marist, and Fairfield.
The Jaspers competed in two races today, the 1V8, and 2V8.
Conditions were windy, delaying the regatta by three hours. Winds were blowing in between 15-20 miles per hour, forcing the athletes to adapt and adjust to the climate.
The Jaspers first competed in the 1V8 race. The team finished fourth, finishing with a time of 8:39.357. The race was won by Holy Cross who finished the race in 7:34.857.
The 2V8 race finished fourth finishing with a time of 9:12.639. Fairfield came out victorious finishing in 7:52.190.
The Jaspers return to action April 8, once again at Overpeck Park where they will take on Canisius, and Sacred Heart.
