WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Manhattan women's track and field team competed at the Colonial Relays on Friday.
As a team, Manhattan scored 11 points on Friday and is 11
th in the team standings. William & Mary leads the team standings with 97.5 points after 12 events scored.
The Jaspers recorded five top-10 finishes on Friday.
Mary Gill had the best finish for the Jaspers on Friday, a third-place showing in the hammer (55.77m).
Alexandra Caraher was also inside the top 10 of the hammer in sixth (46.54m). Gill's toss was a season-best for the freshman.
In the long jump,
Isabella Sing came home eighth with a best of 5.32m.
Sjodin Fedikovich finished ninth in the javelin. The first-year Jasper recorded a best of 30.46m on her second jump.
The best finish on the track on Friday came in the steeplechase from
Nicola Scaglione, who came home in 10
th and stopped the clock in 11:16.44.
Action on Saturday starts at 10 a.m. at the Colonial Relays.
