RJ Decker will represent Manhattan in the hammer at the NCAA East Prelims, hosted by the University of Indiana, next week.
Decker was 41
st on the NCAA East Prelim List in the hammer with a best of 61.60m that he recorded at the Penn Relays on April 28. The men's hammer is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25.
The Otisville, N.Y. won the hammer throw at the 2022 MAAC Outdoor Championships on May 7. Decker also won the hammer at the IC4A Championships, Rider Invitational, and the Metropolitan Championships this outdoor season.
The last time a male student-athlete made the NCAA East Prelims was in 2019 when three qualified.
