NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Manhattan rowing wrapped up its fall season this weekend following the conclusion of the Fall Metropolitan Championships. The Jaspers entered two boats of two and two boats of eight.
In the first 8+ race, Manhattan, coxswained by
Claire Vredenburg, finished in fourth place with a time of 8:05.24. The race was won by Sacred Heart, who completed the race in 7:35.57.
In the second 8+ race, Manhattan, coxswained by
Kerry Sullivan, finished in fifth, finishing in 7:54.8. Marist finished first in this race (7:16.9).
The Jaspers then sent two boats into the 2+ race. Manhattan A was rowed by
Katie Martone and Vredenburg, while
Morgan Etta and
Lauryn Hughes rowed Manhattan B. Manhattan B secured 3rd place, completing in 9:29.15, while Manhattan A finished in 5th with a time of 10:19.50. The race was won by LIU, who finished in 9:00.02.
The Jaspers will return to the water in March 2023 to begin their spring season.
