Riverdale, NY - Manhattan softball's
Emma Kindblom (Wilbraham, MA / Wilbraham & Monson Academy) has been named president of the Jaspers' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for the 2020-21 academic year. Kindblom joins a group of seven other Manhattan student-athletes to make up the
SAAC executive board, which was officially ushered in last month and held it's first meeting on April 22.Â
Erin Prevo (San Diego, CA / Our Lady of Peace) of the volleyball squad, will serve as SAAC vice president after a year as social media co-chair.
Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) was named SAAC treasurer after previously serving as the student-athlete development chair.Â
Gabby Fanning (Cornwall, NY / Cornwall), a member of the women's cross country and track and field teams, will take on her second year as SAAC secretary, while volleyball's
Reyn Hoffman (Ventura, CA / Ventura) will also remain in her post as graphic media chair.Â
New to the SAAC executive board,
Alexandra Preckajlo (Ocean, NJ / St. Rose) of the women's track and field team will serve as social media chair, while
Louis Quinn (Yonkers, NY / Lincoln) of men's swimming and diving was named the student-athlete service chair. Softball's
Kaitlyn Holly (Hopkinton, MA / Hopkinton) will serve as the SAAC social media chair.
The mission of
Manhattan's SAACÂ is to serve as the unified voice of the student-athletes. The members of SAAC are representatives of their teams, and will serve as the leaders in the community and on campus. Members of SAAC will increase awareness of the athletic program through community service, and projects through the MAAC Goodworks program. In addition to this, SAAC will provide a forum for student-athletes to discuss issues with Manhattan College, MAAC, and NCAA policies and legislation.
