Riverdale, NY - The Manhattan College Athletic Department concluded day one of its three-day virtual Jasper Academic & Sports Performance Yearly Showcase (JASPYS) via social media.
Seniors Luke Hanson (Middletown, NY / Minisink Valley) from men's lacrosse and Adriana Gambino (Stamford, CT / Westhill) from softball captured the lone major awards given out on the day, claiming the male and female awards for highest GPAs.
Each team's Rookie of the Year, MVP and top Academic Senior were recognized on the first day and are listed below.
Manhattan College President Dr. Brennan O'Donnell concluded the first day with a special message to all of #JasperNation.
The JASPYS major award winners will be announced on Tuesday starting at 10:30 am. These include the male and female Rookies and Players of the Year, the Iron Jaspers awards, the Comeback Player of the Year, the Unsung Hero awards and the announcement of Mr. and Ms. Jasper. Major award winners will be interviewed live on Wednesday, April 19, starting at noon.
