Riverdale, NY - Ashley Gambardella (Bethpage, NY / Plainedge) and
Pauly Paulicap (Elmont, NY / Harcum CC) have been voted the ATAX Student-Athletes of the Week for Monday, February 3 through Sunday, February 9.
Gambardella, a freshman goalie on the women's lacrosse team, helped the squad to a 12-11 overtime victory over La Salle in the team's home opener on February 8. She earned her first career start, recording eight saves and scooping up a ground ball in the victory, on her way to MAAC Rookie of the Week honors.
Paulicap, a senior on the men's basketball team, led Manhattan to a perfect performance last week, averaging 17.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. Paulicap was also featured as the number six play on SportsCenter's Top 10 with a monster block at Quinnipiac on February 9.
