Cherry Hill, NJ - The Manhattan Women's Rowing team will begin pursuit of the program's first-ever MAAC Championship on Sunday, May 19 at Cooper River Park.

* The Jaspers posted their first-ever wins in the Fall and Spring metropolitan Championships this year.
What's New
* Manhattan christened three new boats this year.
* The Varsity 8+ boat was named "
Signum Fidei," which means 'Sign of Faith,' in reference to the Lasallian Tradition and our gratitude to of the school.
* The Jaspers also christened the the "
Marianne R. Reilly '82," to acknowledge the work she has done for the Manhattan College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Women's Rowing program.
* The third and final boat was named
"Powerful Women," and placed on the vessel in a Gaelic translation.
Manhattan Earns MAAC Honors
* The Manhattan women's rowing team swept the MAAC weekly awards while earning conference recognition for the first time in program history on Wednesday, April 10.
* The Jaspers' Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, and Varsity Four were all awarded boat of the week recognition after the squad swept Iona in its spring opener.
Flanigan Earns Fulbright Award
* Flanigan has been awarded a
Fulbright English Teaching Assistant award for the 2019-20 academic year through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.
* She joins fellow seniors Natalia Alvarez and Emily Hay as recipients, as Manhattan will have three representatives in the program, marking the first time that more than one Jasper has received a Fulbright award during an academic year.

An international studies major, Flanigan will teach in Malaysia next year.
