New Rochelle, NY - The Manhattan Women's Rowing team opened the spring season with a bang, sweeping rival Iona on the Orchard Beach Lagoon.

"It was a great start for the team this weekend," said Head Coach
Alex Canale. "Right down to our novices, everyone got the job done and picked up where we left off in the fall. We know the conference results this weekend were fast, so we are excited to get back to work for a few days before the Sacred Heart Invitational."
In the varsity 8, Manhattan clocked a 7:17.6 to breeze past Iona, which posted a mark of 7:33.2. Comprising the Jaspers' crew was
